Spent a morning shooting ceramics for an artist before she held a sale of the pieces.

An instructive experience having to see things through someone else’s eyes.

An artist has such a unique relationship with their work and it was my job to make sure that I captured the pieces in a way that represented to her both a stylistic document of her work and an image that conveyed the piece’s presence.

After a successful sale it is only the photographs that the artist will have to refer back to and although the income is vital I’m sure that sometimes an artist must be a little sad to say goodbye to the work they have put such time and passion into.
